Well the year is progressing, as usual! Today is Halloween.... and while we don't usually dress in costumes, we do enjoy seeing all the kids dressing up. Before you know it, it will be 2014!
We went to Sanoviv in Mexico this month. We followed up on our progress and really enjoyed ourselves. The view from the property is just stunning, as you can see here on the left. Being there is like being on a retreat. We really appreciated the delicious food as well. Here you see a picture of a delicious omelet with avocado and creamy tomato sauce. One of the great things we learned there was a drink to make to start the day.
Before you eat anything, Squeeze the juice of half a lemon and put it in a glass with a cup of hot water, drink it up! It won't wake you up, but it sure will make you feel good!
There are many benefits to drinking this as it helps to get your body going in the morning by:
- Helps to jumpstart taste buds
- Can stimulate and aid elimination in digestion
- Helps destroy putrefactive bacteria in both intestines and the mouth
- Purify’s the breath
- Benefits the liver among others
You might think lemon is too acidic, however, it is actually helpful in getting the body to an alkaline state. When you add water (nature's solvent), it is the perfect way to start your day. You can also add a pinch of cayenne pepper for increased benefits, as the cayenne increases the blood flow to all parts of your body, increases your metabolism, and helps improve cell structure. After the trip, we entertained ourselves in old town San Diego. The whole group joined in the fun, which really made a perfect wrap up for the trip.
The program at Sanoviv is really great, we learn a lot, get some good rejuvenation and really got to relax. We sure hope you think of joining us next year. The benefits are tremendous. Consider making it part of your self-care routine!

A Recipe for Nature's Flu Shot
Mix the following ingredients together and drink one cup, 4 times a day:
- The juice of 6 fresh lemons
- 1 garlic chopped up
- 2 tsp organic ginger powder
- 2 tsp Honey
- 3 Cups Pineapple Juice
- ½ tsp Cayenne Powder
It's pretty tasty too!
