Al and I sure hope you all enjoyed Canada Day this year.
It has been a hot and dry July here in Kamloops. We sure hope you have been comfortable.
Al and I headed out to Prince George to see his family this month. Sadly, both his father and sister are suffering from cancer. They are doing well and have high spirits.
This has me wondering how many people think there is no cure. I have read countless accounts of people who have cured themselves. Some famous, some not. One of my favorite authors, who changed my life is Louise Hay.
Louise saw her cancer diagnosis as a chance to prove to herself that what she was teaching actually worked. She started by changing her thinking about the problem, shifting it to "it can be done and by going within". She changed her diet, practicing the art of forgiveness, and by cleansing the body of toxins through reflexology. Healing for Louise involved the holistic process of working with the body, the mind and the emotions. Basically, the whole body.
We have also known a lot of people who have cured themselves of cancer just by changing a few things in their lifestyle. We are hopeful for our loved ones.
Happy Anniversary Baby
We celebrated our wedding anniversary this month.
In order to do it in style, we headed for a fabulous vacation in Maui. We did not travel alone as members of our family were with us to help us celebrate. We went fishing, snorkeling for the first time, saw the aquarium, and had a lovely luau with dancers. This sure was the highlight for the month!
The Proper Care and Feeding
I am nearly done reading Dr. Laura Schlessinger's book "The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands". Dr. Laura teaches women how to ensure themselves happiness and satisfaction from their marriage. She points out, when you treat people the way you want to be treated and focus on the things you love about your partner; not what frustrates or irritates you, then miracles begin to happen and you both get your needs met. Which results in both of you becomming happy and satisfied in life. Remember, what you focus on you will get more of!! I have enjoyed the implementing the pointers in the book.
