DeMelo's Da News

Hot Seat

Hello everyone!! Al and I hope your new year has been proceeding nicely.

Things Started with a Bang!

Well, we started the New Year with a BANG! We were in the hot seat as it was our turn to present our business to our Mastermind Group Meeting. It was sure out of our comfort zone. However, we are way better off for having done it. Doing things that are challenging helps us grow.

Remember: If you are willing to do what most people wont do -- then you can do what most people cannot do for the rest of your life.

Hemp

As most of you know, Al and I run our own Hydroponics retail store here in Kamloops called West Coast Gardens.

As owners of a sometimes controversial product, you can imagine that we did have to overcome some challenges both in perception and with the community.

With perserverance and dedication to our mission and vision breakthroughs happen.

Our mission: Showing our customers that the possibilities are endless when they discover they can provide themselves with healthy and fresh herbs, vegetables and fruits year round.

One of our favorite things is sharing the benefits of the hemp plant itself. It is very beneficial and useful for a wide variety of healing cures.

There is plenty of proof and evidence if you dig for it that hemp oil can be responsible for many cures. Rick Simpson has an amazing story himself as documented in the seven videos on YouTube titled “Run from the Cure”. If you click on the link you can check them out!

About Hemp

A lot of people don't realize it, but hemp is wonderful for a whole host of things that we use or make. From fabric (The outfits pictured are made from hemp) to food, health products, etc. This amazing plant is chock full of benefits. For more information on the benefits of the Hemp, check out the link here!

Hemp seed oil is hugely beneficial to our body.

Benefits of Hemp Seed to our Body

  • Hemp seed oil contains the perfect ratio of omega fats 3, 6 and 9, which we don't produce naturally in the body. These essential fats are crucial for healthy circulation, cell growth and our immune system. The balance of the Essential Fatty Acids have benefits for nearly every cell in the body, helping us ward off degenerative diseases including cancer and cardiovascular disease.
  • People report that while using hemp seed oil on their hair, they have seen smoother and thicker hair, stronger nails and softer skin.
  • Hemp seed oil contains a beneficial amount of amino acids, and vitamin E
  • Contains ingredients that gives it unique anti-inflammatory properties.

Family Time

We got to spend quality time with family this month. In order for us to do more of that, we focus our efforts on building three types of income.

Earned income is any income that is generated by working. Note: earned income is taxed at a higher rate than any other type of income.

Portfolio income aka Capital Gains is any income generated by selling an investment at a higher price than you paid for it.

Passive income is money you get from assets you have purchased or created. For example, rental income. For more information, see this site.

Looking forward to next time. Sending smiles your way... till next month,

Al & Shelley
