pH and Your Body
Not everyone is aware that your body's pH is of utmost importance if you would like to ensure your ongoing good health. I sure didn't know until I went to a meeting in Kamloops where Jack Canfield who wrote the book “Chicken Soup for the Soul” was talking about the the importance of maintaining an alkaline environment in your body.
Hummm... I thought. That started me on a journey researching the Acid-Alkaline body connection. During that research, I learned how an alkaline body (pH 7.4) resists the formation of cancer.
Medical health professionals are starting to understand more about this very powerful knowledge and scientific studies are underway to understand the relationship of Cancer and other illnesses and the body's acidic or alkaline state.
We have been working on eliminating a lot of things that create an acidic state in the blood stream. Did you know that one can of soda has a pH of 2.5... and that to neutralize this, you need to drink 32 glasses of water that is a pH of 7? It is shocking to us that by making small changes, we feel a lot better and have more energy. I can’t remember the last time I was sick. Here's a cool chart and more information.
If you are serious about your health try eliminating soda. Not only will your body acidity move to a more alkaline state, but your bones will get stronger by not drinking in all that Phosphorus. To learn more, click on the pH scale image above!
Woo hoo... we are celebrating the fact that our inventory system is implemented in full swing. The tracking of our inventory in-- and out-- has been as fun as getting a new toy. Our data collector now does the reporting job in minutes. Figuring all that out used to take me hours. What will I do with the time!!!?
We are now looking for a manager for the shop.
Our mentors showed us a helpful book called “Why aren’t you more like me” by Ken Keis. This book identifies your inherent personal style as it relates to people, tasks, time and situations. The book also helps you understand yourself and others more clearly, it helps improve communication and increase your success with all relationships in your life.
This is a book that will help you hire the right person for the job in your organization. By knowing their personal style, it can facilitate better communication with them. There is also a "Values Indicator" which will show you if the people you associate with closely or hire have the same values as you do.
Till next month, Live your Joy!
