DeMelo's Da News

Rememberance Day

On Remembrance Day we gave our love to those who sacrificed for us all, in deepest gratitude we pray.

Al and I would like to thank everyone who sacrificed so we could have so much.

Sex, Passion and Enlightenment!

I felt filled with love as I attended a wonderful class called "Get It On" from Get a Life, Co. formerly known as Warrior Sage.

During this class, I discovered that I have been expressing my masculine energy, at the expense of my "Goddess" energy. I learned how to reclaim the "Goddess" in me, which ignites passion, living freedom, and embraces love. By balancing your energy, you can experience what you thought was only for the movie stars or simply fantasy, and learn how to create that balance and live a juicy life.

In Search of the Cure

Al and I were watching this movie "One Answer to Cancer" and it got us thinking, do you believe there is a cure for cancer? There are so many cures and information about it, when you start asking the questions, you are covered in an avalanch of answers. We saw this video "Run From the Cure" by Rick Simpson, we've met people who have cured themselves of many different diseases. I guess having an open mind and looking inside ourselves for solutions can help us find our own truths. What do you think? Feel free to drop us a note and let us know!

Our Point of Sale Quest

As we research many different Point of Sale Systems for moving our business to the next level, questions are the key to formulating a report that will get to a result. With anything it is all about moving towards implementing and building on your architecture for what you want to create.

Accounting!! We Love Accounting.

On to a more boring subject ACCOUNTING (or so we thought) Getting into Accounting was a bit boring until we attended Accounting comes Alive in Vancouver. We never knew it could be so easily understood.

First we learned to visualize our accounts as each account being in five different "rooms" such as Assets, Liabilities, Equity, Expenses and Income. From here, we created our own storyboard by creating a picture of the different "rooms" and how they inter-relate to each other.

We used various colors to represent the transactions, for instance debits were in green to represent a "use of funds" and income money was in yellow to represent a "source of funds".

It was a colorful and playful way of learning about a generally not so interesting subject . By the end of the day we both had a new respect for Accounting! If you click on the image above, you'll be brought to a site which will introduce you to more of the concepts!

Real Estate

When looking at properties outside the area where you live, it is imperative that you grow your network of people who are resources for you. For instance, Al and I discovered a property that looked like a great deal and seemed very promising. We decided to ask a friend that was close to the property to take a look and dig a bit deeper for us to see if the numbers and and the property still looked great upon closer inspection.

In their process of researching the property, they discovered that the property had a foundation issue which immediately ruled it out as something we would want to invest in. By utilizing our network, we were able to save ourself a flight and considerable research costs. We also were able to get to know someone in our network a bit better. We really appreciated the fact that we had someone we could ask to help, and we will always be there for them as well.

Two Year Anniversary!

Wow, almost two years have passed since we attended our first Millionaire Mind course put on by T. Harv Eker. This course changed the way we think about money, and taught us that we needed to remove the limiting beliefs we have about money, and change the way we think about money. If you are curious about these teachings, here is a link to a free e-book and and invitation to attend as a guest, next session in Vancouver, January 7-9, 2011. This no cost event will enlighten you and assist you to discover what may be holding you back. We would love to hear what you think of it! So please do drop us a line.
